Is one big bird not enough for your family on Thanksgiving? What about two birds? Do you need three birds to feed the crew? Then turducken is for you.

Looking at Thanksgiving food searches since we started the Lycos 50 in 1999, the big trend has been towards non-traditional turkey preparation. Each year the searches have gone up for Fried turkey and Deep fried turkey. This year, for the first time, we're seeing searches for Cajun fried turkey.

But the fastest-growing Thanksgiving sensation is turducken. It's the infamous "chicken inside a duck inside a turkey" dish (with two kinds of stuffing!) that John Madden always used to show when he did the Thanksgiving football games. Each year turducken gets more and more searches. Three years ago, it received fewer searches than stuffing recipes -- now it's twice as popular.

What foods are less popular these days? It looks like searches are down for smoked turkey as well as cranberries.
