Talking Turkey
In honor of this weekend's Thanksgiving holiday, we thought it would be fun to take a look at which Thanksgiving searches gobbled up the most attention from Lycos users last week. Not counting the generic term Thanksgiving, here's a summary of specific Thanksgiving-related searches, with a percentage of how many of these searches fell into each category:

6.3% Thanksgiving wallpaper

3.1% First Thanksgiving
2.7% Turkey pictures
2.7% Turducken
2.7% Cranberry sauce
2.6% Thanksgiving pictures
2.1% Thanksgiving lesson plans
2.0% Thanksgiving decorations
1.9% Thanksgiving coloring pages
1.8% Thanksgiving activities
What's a turducken? That's a duck inside a chicken inside a turkey - the Thanksgiving meal highlighted each year by NFL announcer John Madden during that afternoon's traditional football game. You can catch the turducken during the Dallas-Minnesota game this year.
Among the surprising items not found on this list is Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Perhaps the parade does not become popular until after the holiday, when people can look for pictures of it online.
When it comes to Thanksgiving recipes, smoked turkey loses out to fried turkey by about a 10-1 margin, which will really depress my family.
