Every week, on Lycos, we receive many search queries. While you see the top queries on the Lycos 50 each week, we also see many questions pass through our search logs, i.e., What is on TV tonight? What are the effects of caffeine? What should I do with the rest of my life? (Not that we could help you there.)

We thought we'd take a look at some of the "What...?" questions we've seen this week, and maybe even try to help answer them.

What is the temperature on Mercury? 1130 degrees Fareneit - hot!

What is the official weight of a poker chip? 11.5 grams

What is the difference between HTML and SHTML? The S stands for 'Server Side Include' or SSI. When an SHTML webpage is sent to the web browser window, it gets assembled on the server and then sent to be viewed. The normal HTML tags all still work the same, the SHTML simply lets you include other pieces into the HTML page.

What is the 9th Amendment? "The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people."

What is beauty? Its up to the individual. We sort of favor sunsets over the ocean and certain television actors.

What is a ballad poem? Simply, a poem that tells a story, typically written in iambic heptameter.

What happened to Seal's face? We can't say for sure, but we've always heard that it was because he suffered from Lupus as a child. Hasn't seemed to hurt him much.

What happened to Kriss Kross? We have NO idea, which makes us sad because "Jump" was truly an awesome song. They apparently faded into obscurity after the early 90s.
