One to Watch: Odalys Garcia Odalys Garcia is the Cuban-born host of Univision's hit show Lente Loco.
Garcia seems to shift easily between comedienne and bombshell modes, an approach that worked wonders for fellow Cuban Daisy Fuentes. Lente Loco is a kind of Spanish-language Candid Camera, but Garcia is getting more queries than Alan Funt ever did. You can see her home page here.

| Fencing | |
| A touch! The world fencing championships are taking place this week in Seoul, South Korea. More fencing fans are out there than you might think. |
| | | Elections | |
| Who says the web is all fluff? Tuesday was election day in many American communities, and people clearly went online to see what happened.. The big three search terms: elections, voting, results. |
| | | Firehunter | |
| Firehunter is a software package but frankly, we can't figure out what it does. ("Provides vital functionality for proactive management of the performance and availability of business-critical services" is what we got from their home page.) Whatever it is, a lot of web users are looking for it. |
| | | Geri Halliwell | |
| Odd phenomenon: searches for Geri Halliwell ("Ginger Spice" to you old-timers) have been rising for the past week or so. Then on Thursday the London tabloids broke the story of Halliwell's new love affair with a chat-show host. Did Web users scoop the tabloids? |

Recent mystery terms explored:
LUTHERAN: Cheerful user Jon Reeves notes that the Lutheran church recently buried the hatchet with the Catholic church. Searches on the Vatican are up as well, so it seems we can stamp this one "solved."
Yikes! Wednesday's mystery term PAULUS produced two disaster-dealing explanations. User boards says these are searches for Nostradamus maven Stefan Paulus, who predicted a comet would smack into Earth in September. (He may have blown the call, Paulus now admits.) Or, as user boards suggests, people could be hunting for math whiz John Allen Paulos, who has lately been talking about the statistical probabilities of airplane crashes. Cheery group, those Paulu/oses.
User boards points out that JENNIFER LOVE HEWITT is featured in the latest Maxim magazine -- giving her the same boost Melissa Joan Hart got last month. People seem to be reading Maxim, or at least looking at the pictures.
