The finalists for the 2007 Weblog Awards have been announced with a category for celebrity bloggers. Of the 10 finalists for celebrity bloggers, five registered search activity this week. The top 5 most-searched celebrity bloggers are:

Kanye West

Jenna Fischer

Donald Trump

John Mayer

Mark Cuban

Kanye West's blog (which is 310% more popular than Fischer's) is mostly made up of videos and pictures, while Jenna Fischer (i.e. Pam from "The Office") keeps her blog on MySpace in order to connect with fans and discuss what is going on with her life and behind the scenes of the show.

Donald Trump's blog of business advice registered some activity with users, while his rival Rosie O'Donnell (whose blog is mostly written in haiku style) failed to generate search interest this week. John Mayer and Mark Cuban offer more personal information in their blogs; Cuban discusses "Dancing with the Stars" and Mayer casually writes about his life, music, and other things that interest him.

There is certainly something incredibly compelling about getting a peek inside the everyday lives of celebrities who interest us. Other celebrity blogs we find pretty cool include Kevin Smith's, William Shatner's, and Dave Barry's.
