Here are the top 25 horror movies online based on Lycos searches for the last four months:

You may notice some movies missing from the list, particularly recent ones. We took out any films released in 2002; otherwise, Red Dragon would easily top the list. That also removes Queen of the Damned and Ghost Ship. We also removed The Dead Zone, since those searches are mostly for the cable TV series that debuted this year.

And one more adjustment had to be made. We couldn't count all searches for Halloween as searches for the movie, Halloween, so the ranking for Halloween here is a combination of searches for Halloween movie and those for the lead character Michael Myers.
