Here's what we think you'll be seeing tomorrow night: fairies, caped crusaders, and plenty of disco polyester.
You may recall that last month we did an early study of Halloween costume queries. Now with just one day to go, we've checked them again.

Honorable Mention: Harry Potter, Felicity Shagwell, the band Kiss, Playboy Bunny, harem girl, hippie, pimp, Tinkerbell, Raggedy Ann.
Yes, it's true: dozens of people came to Lycos looking for a hippie costume.
We can't help but notice that three of the top five requests were for women's costumes, and for feminine ones at that: princess, belly dancer and fairy. Does this just mean that little girls still want to be princesses and fairies? Or are these grown-up women letting it all hang out? (The number of requests for Cleopatra costumes would seem to indicate the latter.)
Six of the top 10 queries were clearly costumes for women, while only one -- Batman -- is plainly a male. Perhaps women just enjoy Halloween more.
Most surprising hit: the 1970s. Isn't that craze getting kind of old?
For that matter, it's surprising how many of the costumes are traditional characters. Of the top 25 only Buzz Lightyear and Austin Powers stand out as relatively new ideas. And where are all the requests for Britney Spears, Al Gore, and George W. Bush masks?
A final question: what, exactly, does a Scooby Doo costume look like?
