For the seventh straight year, Howard Stern continues his reign as the most-searched talk radio personality with web users, generating more searches than Tom Joyner and Opie & Anthony combined. Stern's online popularity remains strong, with search activity increasing 44% since making the move from terrestrial radio to Sirius Satellite in January 2006. Tom Joyner takes the number two spot on this year's list, more than doubling in search popularity over the past year. But shock jocks Opie & Anthony, coming in at number three, are the biggest movers and shakers with web users in 2007, generating four times more search interest than this time last year.

Last year's biggest gainer, Adam Carolla of Infinity's Adam Carolla Show, sees the most significant drop on this year's list. Carolla, who reached number two in 2006 just behind Stern, falls off the list completely in 2007. Tavis Smiley also falls off of the list this year.

Two hosts generating a great deal of media attention offline, but failing to register big numbers on the search radar are Bill O'Reilly and Don Imus. This marks the second consecutive year that O'Reilly has not appeared on the Lycos 50 list of Top Talk Radio Hosts. And while he still makes this year's list, the controversy and subsequent firing of Don Imus failed to boost significant online interest for Imus in 2007, with his search numbers cut in half.

Joining O'Reilly and Smiley, other notables falling off the radar with web users in 2007 include Tom Leykis, Jim Cramer, Al Franken and Don & Mike.

The one new voice making a first-ever appearance on the Lycos 50 list of Top Talk Radio Hosts is Clark Howard, host of the nationally-syndicated consumer advocate program, The Clark Howard Show. Howard, also an author and a syndicated television consumer reporter, makes his debut on this year's list at number 16.

Interestingly, veteran talk radio personalities appear to be resonating with younger web audiences, as they return to this year's list. Dr. Laura, who dropped off the list last year, jumps back on in 2007, doubling in search popularity. Also seeing resurgence in online popularity and returning to this year's list are Larry King, Mancow, Kim Komando and legendary talk radio personality, Paul Harvey, host of one of the longest-running syndicated radio programs in the US.
