With Spongebob Squarepants finally appearing on the Lycos 50 this week after months of coming close, we thought this was a good time to take a look at what kids are searching online.

This time, we've stayed away from musical acts and school subjects and concentrated on popular characters and TV shows. Some of these shows are familiar from months of appearance on the Lycos 50. Others are relatively new, and may only be familiar to those with young children.

Here are the top 25 kids' characters or TV shows searched on Lycos over the past three months:

Yes, good ol' Dragonball is #1. In fact, the top seven subjects here should look familiar. We first noticed searches for the Zoids toys and TV show back in March. Though Zoids have yet to make it on the Lycos 50, they've come close a few times.
