With Dennis Miller such a hot property right now, let's see how well you know your modern stand-up comedians.

Eddie Murphy
Ellen DeGeneres
Lenny Bruce
Margaret Cho
Rich Little
Rick Rockwell
Sam Kinison
Steve Harvey
Whoopi Goldberg
(Insert Jeopardy music here...)
While you're figuring, here's an added feature: each comedian on the correct list got 50% more searches than the comedian directly below him or her. That is: #1 got 50% more searches than #2, who got 50% more searches than #3, and so on.
Which means (if we're calculating correctly) that comic #1 will be 8600% as popular as #12.
Ready for the answers? Here they are, from highest to lowest.
1. Adam Sandler
2. Ellen DeGeneres
3. Eddie Izzard
4. Dennis Miller
5. Eddie Murphy
6. Whoopi Goldberg
7. Sam Kinison
8. Lenny Bruce
9. Steve Harvey
10. Margaret Cho
11. Rich Little
12. Rick Rockwell
Kudos to Adam Sandler, who continues to be the hottest comedian online. (That's excepting Rosie O'Donnell, who gets mega-exposure from her daily show.) And at #2-3-4 we have a famous lesbian, a man who dresses like a woman, and a smash-mouth football broadcaster. An odd combo indeed.
Interesting that Miller, for all his Monday Night Football publicity, still falls short of British comic Eddie Izzard.
And the 15 minutes of Rick "Who Wants To Marry a Multimillionaire?" Rockwell must finally be up. He's touring the country doing stand-up, but when Rich Little is outdrawing you by 50% it may be time to hang up the ol' microphone.
Similarly, what happened to Steve Harvey and Margaret Cho? Aren't they supposed to be popular? Can you be a hot comedian and still be outsearched by two dead jokers, Bruce and Kinison?
