Who's Hot at the Olympics?
We scanned last week's user queries for the names of athletes participating in the Sydney Summer Olympiad. (We'll do one list now, and another the week after the Olympics end.)
Here are the 15 early search favorites among Web users:

6. Lindsay Davenport (US tennis)

8. Mia Hamm (US soccer)
9. Michael Johnson (US sprinter)
10. Marion Jones (US sprinter)
11. Pat Rafter (Aussie tennis)
12. Marat Safin (Russia tennis)
13. Susie O'Neill (Aussie swimmer)
14. Monica Seles (US tennis)
15. Maurice Greene (US sprinter)
In case you're wondering about Amy Acuff, she's the excellent American high jumper who has proven that wearing a furry bra can go a long way in the PR department. (Not that everyone agrees with that.)
Marat Safin's fame actually is due to his win at the US Open last week -- but hey, he is in the Olympics. Same goes for Venus Williams, winner of both the Open and Wimbledon.
Bonus list: we also looked for historical Olympic athletes, those from years past whose names are more or less synonymous with the Games. The five most popular athletes there:
