There is a new celebrity sex scandal making its debut on The Lycos 50 this week. This time fans of rapper Eve (#8) find search salvation as searches for everything related to Eve is up almost 1000 percent. A 30-second intimate sex video was released online featuring our favorite female rapper/actress, her ex-boyfriend producer Stevie J. and some of their favorite 'toys'. Of course, Eve doesn't know how the video was leaked and has actually hired a detective to track down the culprit.

Representatives for Eve, who was just 21 years-old when the video was made, said she was devastated and couldn't figure out how the tape found its way to the Web. Several years ago, a picture appeared that seemed to show Eve performing an intimate act with another woman. At the time, Eve appeared to take it in stride, and was quoted in the NY Daily News: "I used to strip, so it could be me. Or it could not be me." The paper later revealed that while Eve did pose for a nude picture, the other woman had been superimposed into the photo.

Regardless, you may now add Eve to the long list of celebrities like Paris Hilton (#4), Pam Anderson (#3), Cameron Diaz, Fred Durst, Gena Lee Nolin etc. with an infamous video. Eve don't feel so bad, look what it did for Paris Hilton, and she can't even sing.

Following his death last week, legendary R&B crooner Luther Vandross (#21) is back on the list. The man who made the smoothest love songs (in our opinion) has often been a topic of discussion on The Lycos 50. Back in July 2000, rumors were flying around the web that Luther Vandross had passed away. Fortunately, that was just another web-myth. But in April 2003 queries surged once again after he suffered a stroke.

Even before Vandross ever hit it big as a singer, he had a varied career. He wrote music for Broadway, including , "Everybody Rejoice (A Brand New Day)," from the hit musical The Wiz. He also sang backup for artists as varied as Bette Midler, and David Bowie. His weight loss and gain also were legendary. The self-described carb addict lost and gained more than 100 pounds 14 times -- always in the public eye. During his four-decade career, Vandross sold more than 25 million copies, with each one of his 14 albums achieving either platinum or multi-platinum status. Luther Vandross was 54 years-old.

NEW THIS WEEK
Even though there wasn't a Spice Girl reunion, Live 8 (#13) debuted on our list, and made history - not just because of the actual Pink Floyd reunion. It was the who's who of the music world as Sir Bob Geldof, the rock-star-turned anti-poverty activist did the impossible 20 years after his amazing Live Aid. The concerts were free and aimed at building awareness of poverty in Africa and increasing pressure on world leaders to forgive third world debt.

Meanwhile, boy band, Pretty Ricky (#40) also enters The Lycos 50 this week. Pretty Ricky consists of rappers Slick 'Em, Baby Blue, and Spectacular, and singer Pleasure. Who said sibling boy bands are dead? The album Blue Stars features the sexy single Grind with Me which would surely make Lucy Ricardo blush. The boys have their very own Joe Jackson (Michael Jackson's infamous pop) in their father, Blue Smith, whom they affectionately call "'ol boy."

After 168 consecutive weeks, Brooke Burke falls off The Lycos 50 this week. Along with this history change, we also say 'farewell' to: Blackjack, Golf, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Michael Jackson, Batman Begins, Runescape, Katie Holmes, and LimeWire.
