Summertime is movie time... which brings us to the topic of movie stars.
We've just finished a survey of the most-searched-for movie actors and actresses for the last two full months, April and May. We're talking movie actors only; TV stars like Nikki Cox and Gary Coleman are excluded.
Today we'll show you the top actresses, and tomorrow the top actors. Then later in the summer we'll do the survey again and see how the summer movie season has affected the rankings.

You've got to hand it to icon Marilyn Monroe: gone nearly 40 years and she still outranks stars like Cameron Diaz, Heather Graham and Catherine Zeta-Jones. You go, girl!
Surprise #2 is Natalie Portman in the third spot. You could even make a case for her as the #1 "pure" movie actress if you toss out Jennifer Lopez (a music star too, after all) and Alyssa Milano (heavy TV exposure). Chalk up another one for the Star Wars fanatics hunting for their Queen Amidala.
Angelina Jolie made a rollicking climb up the search lists after her Goth appearance on the Oscar telecast; and she's already showing a Pam Anderson-like ability to say something wacky or get married any time her popularity cools.
Thandie Newton is hot stuff thanks to the buildup for Mission: Impossible 2. And Sharon Stone? We love her, don't get us wrong -- but we have no idea why she's still in this top 20 list. She gets props for tenacity.
