David Blaine and Fred Thompson tie as our top movers and shakers this week. Both have increased 1,100% in search activity. David Blaine is reportedly planning his next stunt - jumping off the Brooklyn Bridge. This seems a little more pedestrian than the water-filled sphere, but okay. Meanwhile, he is starring in the NBA's ad campaign, appearing as creepy as ever.

Sarah Silverman, who hosted the MTV Movie Awards gained 157%. When she cracked one particularly crude joke about Paris Hilton, the camera panned to Paris, looking uncomfortable and as if she might cry in the audience.

"Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest" (the overlong and meandering sequel, not to be confused with the overlong and meandering third film) was the big winner of the night, taking the Best Movie category. Johnny Depp took home the award for Best Performance in this film. The award for Best Kiss went to Sascha Baron Cohen and Will Ferrell in "Talladega Nights," and Michael Bay's "Transformers" won for Best Summer Movie You Haven't Seen. Based on the ubiquitous trailer, I have already prejudged "Transformers" as the Stupidest Summer Movie I Haven't Seen, though this does not mean that it will not be entertaining (even if it is more entertaining in an I'm-not-laughing-with-you sort of way). It has to be better than "Pearl Harbor," right?
