Just when we thought things were looking bad for Paris Hilton, she finds herself in her worst scenario yet - sentenced to 45 days in jail starting on June 5, 2007. She will be going to jail for driving with a suspended license and breaking her parole. Paris Hilton is laying blame on her publicist, Eliot Mintz, who allegedly told her she could drive for work-related reasons. Paris countered that she does not even read her mail, declaring in her statement, "I have people who do that for me." The judge did not buy Paris's claim however and is actually forcing her into - gasp! - being accountable for her actions. Note to self: Being too lame to read one's own mail can have negative consequences. Weird how that works.

Hopefully, jail time will not harden Paris too much. Who will take care of Tinkerbell?

"American Idol" re-enters the list this week. The 2007 summer concert tour was announced on Friday. The tour will feature this season's top ten (yes, including Sanjaya and one can hope, his pony-hawk) and will span 35 states. In other news related to the "American Idol" juggernaut, former "Idol" contestant Carrie Underwood made chart history when her cover of "I'll Stand By You" became the first iTunes exclusive track to debut in the Top 10 of the Billboard Top 100. (As shameful as this is, whenever "Before He Cheats" comes onto the radio in the car, I start belting about "white trash [versions] of Shania karaoke" and keying cars. This song is my main means of releaving aggression.
