Ashlee Simpson shot up the Movers and Shakers chart this week by 626%. As previously reported, singer Ashlee Simpson and her boyfriend Pete Wentz, bassist for the band Fall Out Boy, are engaged to marry. Now, more recent reports are claiming that Ashlee is pregnant. A source confirmed to USmagazine.com that Simpson is expecting her first child. Both Simpson and Wentz are denying the pregnancy rumors, but rest assured, the rumor mill will continue to drive the couple's rankings up the search charts.

American Idol climbed 500% this week following the Idol Gives Back episode. Although the special edition Fox Idol episode was the highest- rated program on Wed. night, it received lower ratings this year than it did during its debut in 2007. Despite an all-star lineup that included performances by Mariah Carey, Carrie Underwood, Rihanna, and Fergie the show was down 34% among adults. The telethon raised $22 million for charity, according to Billboard. Fox said that this year's final charity tally will be released at a later date and is expected to be higher than last year's $76 million.

Another Idol mention on our list is Michael Johns, who gained 279% this week after a shocking results show on Thursday. Johns finished in the bottom three for the first time and in a surprising twist was eliminated from the talent competition.

David Beckham moved up the chart with a 147% gain. Beckham had a big week-- not only was the handsome soccer player named MLS player of the week, he was also recognized as the highest paid soccer player in the world by France Football magazine and he was pulled over for a moving violation in LA last week.
