Eva Longoria breaks through the Lycos 50 this week making her way up to #2! Longoria made headlines last week when website X17 issued a public apology to her and her husband, Tony Parker for falsely reporting an affair Parker allegedly had with another woman. In other news, Longoria is the new face for PADRES Contra El Cáncer (parents against Cancer), an organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for Latino children with cancer and their families. Longoria says "I'm blessed to be a part of PADRES, being with these children was the highlight of my month. They appreciate the very breath that they take, reminding me of the importance of taking life day by day."

The hit ABC Family television series "Greek" enters this week at #24. The characters belong to fictional fraternities Kappa Tau Gamma (ΚΤΓ) and Omega Chi Delta (ΩΧΔ), or the fictional sorority Zeta Beta Zeta (ΖΒΖ). The series, now in its second season, has been doing well in the ratings with an average of 1 million viewers according to the show's website.

Reports of Katie Couric getting canned early from the CBS Evening News pushed her into the Lycos 50 for the first time at #44. Couric could leave the job well before her contract expires in 2011 and possibly as early as next January, after the presidential inauguration. After two years of record-low ratings, Ms. Couric is halfway through her five-year contract with CBS, but executives are feeling pressure to cut costs and improve ratings for the broadcast.

Perez Hilton made his first appearance in the Lycos 50 this week appearing at #10 after reporting a celebrity hook-up between himself and John Mayer. Hilton, whose real name is Mario Armando Lavandeira Jr., is one of the hottest celebrity gossip bloggers to date. Lavandeira posts gossip items about musicians, actors and celebrities, and often posts tabloid photographs and adds his own captions or "doodles." Not only does Lavandeira have his own website, he now also hosts his own television show titled "What Perez Sez" and his own radio show that will hit airwaves on May 5.
