Brad Pitt and the Pussycats It's time for another round of our favorite game, Equally Popular. This time we'll take a look at this spring's movies and equally popular movie stars.
Each of the below movies is set to be released in April or May. Each is ranked based on last week's searches, in order. We also included the movie's release date. Pearl Harbor got the most searches, although it is tough to determine how many of these searches were for the movie.
We're expecting Josie and the Pussycats to make the Lycos 50 next Tuesday, as it has been rising fast and furious for four weeks. It needs to double in searches this week, which is very possible since it came out Wednesday.
By the way, you can find showtimes for any of the movies currently released at Lycos Movies.

Finally, we want to say something about a movie opening in June, A.I.: Artificial Intelligence. This was a project that Stanley Kubrick worked on for twenty years; when he died, Steven Spielberg took it over. It stars Haley Joel Osment from The Sixth Sense as a robotic boy.
We're not noticing that many searches for the movie yet, although searches for artificial intelligence have been rising very slowly over the past three months. But we wanted to let readers know about the deep, rich online world that has been secretly built around the movie.
To see what we mean, check out Lycos searches for these places and things:
Bangalore World University
Evan Chan
Jeanine Salla
Sentient Property Crime Bureau
Martin Swinton Designs
By the way, if your browser tells you that don't conform to "Earth-Net 39 standard," don't worry. That won't be invented for at least a hundred years. |
