One of the complaints we often get about the Lycos 50 is that it is too skewed towards kids' subjects. After all, there's no way all those people are really interested in Dragonball, right?
Well, actually, there is a lot of evidence that Lycos users are a pretty good mix of kids and adults. After all, for every Dragonball there is an IRS; for every Pokemon, a Las Vegas.
Nonetheless, with the help of the folks at LycosZone, we decided to put together a list of what the Lycos 50 would like if chosen entirely by kids between ages 5 and 12. We left in toys, cartoons, comic book characters, kids' movies, and teen pop stars. Obviously many of these topics are driven by teen and adult searchers as well as kids, but we thought we would have some fun with them anyway.
