Sisq-Who?
Sisqo is the newest hip-hop star to make the Lycos 50, debuting at #39 this week.
Who's Sisqo? He's a former member of Dru Hill, the Baltimore R&B group that got hot in the late '90s. (And if you thought Dru Hill was the name of a person, you're not alone.)
Sisqo is search-bait now because of the success of his first solo album, Unleash the Dragon. If you've seen MTV recently, you probably spotted him: he's the midriff-baring guy with the bleached white hair. The video for the single Thong Song features him cavorting on the beach with the usual hip-hop harem of bikini babes. (Sisqo, meet Frankie Avalon.)
Sisqo may be hoping to follow in the footsteps of Lauryn Hill -- who became a star with the Fugees and then went solo, winning beaucoup Grammies in the process.
