People often ask what the unadjusted top 50 search list looks like -- before we cut the general terms, computer terms, company names and sex stuff, and before we add similar queries together to get the final weekly Lycos 50 list.
Below is the answer: the plain top 50 terms as they came in for the week ending March 10.
Moms can relax: we've taken out the specific naughty bits. (We left sex and porn in -- after all, thirteen year-old girls are wearing t-shirts that say "porn star" nowadays.) We've also removed company names to avoid any suggestion that we're favoring Lycos or its partners over other companies. Other than that, this is how the queries stack up:

Where's Dragonball? Well, the reason Dragonball is so big is the number of different related searches that get tons of queries: Dragonball, Dragonball Z, Dragonball GT, Dragonball AF, etc. But no one term gets enough attention to make the raw top 50.
This is pretty much what the list looks like each week, with the exception of high performances by Gnutella and Survivor. That's one reason why we don?t include generic terms: since subjects like recipes and movies are always popular, they're also a bit boring.
