The things you're searching for.	February 10, 2000

Calling Daniela Tobar!
Here's today's slice of life from the Lycos files. A strange name shot up last week's search logs: Daniela Tobar. Who is she? A hot new author? A politician? Some kind of artist?
Well... sort of. Turns out she's a 21-year-old college student who's been eating, sleeping -- and yes, bathing -- in a glass house in Chile. The glass house is the idea of two Chilean artists, who insist the display is about censorship, the modern age, artistic freedom and... well, the usual.
Problem is, Chilean males took the display as a free peep show. The crowds got dense, then unruly. Now, sadly, Ms. Tobar has abandoned her glass house.
But happily, she lives on as a spike in our search logs. Last week she got more user searches than Cameron Diaz, Muhammad Ali, Langston Hughes, or even Barney.
