Napster Rapture
How hot is Napster? Very hot indeed.
Barely six months old, the MP3-sharing gadget has grabbed the attention of web users galore. It's also grabbed the attention of the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), which is trying to sue the software right off of Napster.
The upshot of all this: a rush on Napster searches by Web users. Search traffic quadrupled between October 1st and November 1st, and it has quadrupled again since then. If Napster search queries were stock they'd be the toast of Wall Street.
Just goes to show you, a little bit of legal action is worth a lot of PR.
