One to Watch: Vince Carter OK, the Super Bowl's over. Let's look for basketball's next big star. Our candidate: Vince Carter of the Toronto Raptors. Carter's a second-year swingman out of grand old North Carolina. Last week he got more searches than any NBA player except Karl Malone, outpointing guys like Allen Iverson, Jason Williams and Shaquille O'Neal. About a tenth of Carter's queries were for Vince Carter photos. That usually indicates a high IHQ -- Internet heartthrob quotient. If he's getting that many searches we think he must be catching on with the public in a big way. One guy Carter couldn't beat is also from North Carolina: Michael Jordan. Jordan got a big query bump from his new deal with the Washington Wizards, but truth be told he's always a hot item: he was the 12th most popular man on Lycos last year, even after retiring. And by the way, what's up with Shaquille O'Neal? He's taken a serious search drop this year -- just when his team is finally winning. Wilt Chamberlain got more searches last week than Shaq, if you can believe that. Why? We don't know. Shaq Fu just doesn't seem to be wowing 'em like he used to.
