Early Warning: Stroke 9 Climbing from the depths of our search logs we find another hot new band: STROKE 9. Six months ago this San Francisco rock combo registered exactly zero searches per week. Since then they've risen steadily, helped apparently by a brief appearance in the flop flick Ed TV and by their first big album, Nasty Little Thoughts. (Don't the kids ever think happy thoughts these days?) The first single from that album, "Little Black Backpack," seems to be getting some traction on the airwaves. By coincidence, Stroke 9 is now touring with one of our early warning hotties from last August: Vertical Horizon. Could we be setting ourselves up for a Lycos 50 early warning daily double? We can only hope. In the meantime, you can visit Stroke 9's official site to judge for yourself.
