Actress Andrea Thompson got a big bump in search traffic last week with the season premiere of cop show NYPD Blue.
Who's Andrea Thompson? She's an actress and model whose resume looks like a catalog of recent TV trends. She was a regular on prime-time soap opera Falcon Crest, played freaky psychic Talia Winters on space opera Babylon 5, then moved to the military soap opera JAG.
She even guest-starred on Baywatch and Murder, She Wrote. About the only trends she missed were stand-up comedies like Seinfeld and kiddie romances like Beverly Hills 90210.
On NYPD Blue she plays feisty detective Jill Kirkendall, and does it so well that she was the show's only cast member to make last week's top 25,000 search terms. (Sorry, Mr. Franz.)
Speaking of soap operas: Kevin Nash is doing huge search business this week. Nash is a pro wrassler for that crazy fictional drama known as World Championship Wrestling (WCW).
What he's up to in the WCW's ongoing storyline is almost impossible for an outsider to understand -- he's supposed to be the league's new commissioner, or its 'lord and master' (?), or maybe the new champ. He's also nicknamed "Big Sexy." It's all so confusing.
At any rate, Web users are suddenly crazy about the guy. If you're looking for the next big wrassling thing, Big Sexy may be your boy.
