Howard Stern's Latest Hit

Howard Stern drives queries. That's all there is to it.

It's a given among search aficionados that when Howard features a guest, queries for that person go through the roof. This is especially true, it must be noted, when the guest is female. But anyone who remembers Howard's PR campaign on behalf of Hank the Angry, Drunken Dwarf knows Howard can drive queries just about any direction he wants.

One can practically see all the people driving to the office with Stern on the radio, then heading to their cubicle and immediately searching for Howard's daily guest.

The latest Stern hottie is Lee Armstrong. She's a former aspiring actress (her two films were Magic Island and Leprechaun 3) who now is a Stern staffer. On January 6 Stern called her "the insane intern" and asked her his usual rack of lascivious questions. Result: she went from zero queries two weeks ago to thousands last week.

Ms. Armstrong does have a single fan page online so far. A search will turn it up, but only jumbled in among Sandra Lee Armstrong, DDS ("the dentist just for kids") and goth fan Lee Edward Armstrong. Well, that's fame in the Internet age.
